Starting Saturday, October 4, 2025, all weekend appointments will be seen at nearby Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital, 411 US Highway 22 East, Whitehouse Station, NJ 08889 — just 3 miles down the road.

Yes. To keep your care personal and familiar, an Oldwick Animal Hospital doctor will be on staff at the Hunterdon Hills location on most Saturdays, along with support staff from the Oldwick team. You may continue to schedule with your doctor of choice if you wish to see them on a Saturday. You may also see another doctor from the group.

On Saturdays, the Hunterdon Hills location will be staffed by three doctors and support staff from the family of group practices, on a rotating schedule. The Oldwick team will be working alongside two other doctor teams from the collaborative group.

There will be occasional Saturdays when an Oldwick doctor will not be scheduled, but there will be three doctors from the family of group practices who will have access to your pet’s records and will be happy to provide excellent care for your pet.

Simply contact Oldwick Animal Hospital as usual, and our receptionists will schedule your weekend appointment at the Hunterdon Hills location. While the Oldwick location will no longer be open on Saturdays, our Oldwick reception desk will be staffed on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to assist you. You may also call Hunterdon Hills at 908-534-2321 to schedule your Saturday appointment.

You can. Our Oldwick location will no longer be open to the public on Saturdays, but our Oldwick reception desk will be staffed on Saturdays from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM to answer your calls and assist with scheduling, medication pickups, and general information. Medications that were approved and prepared prior to Saturday can be picked up at the Oldwick location on Saturday; just contact us to make the arrangements.

Yes. We are excited to be able to offer Sunday urgent care appointments for our patients.

Sunday appointments are reserved for urgent care and sick pet appointments only (not wellness exams). Please call Hunterdon Hills Animal Hospital at 908-534-2321 if your pet needs urgent medical care on a Sunday.

Oldwick Animal Hospital doctors are not staffing Sundays, but a trusted urgent care doctor from our group will see your pet for Sunday urgent care and sick appointments.

Only clients and patients of the group of our collaborating animal hospitals can make weekend appointments at Hunterdon Hills. We hope this will provide more care and address urgent medical concerns, while keeping you and your pet close to home and out of emergency rooms.

Absolutely. Records from weekend appointments will be transferred to Oldwick by Monday.
