- Treat all animals humanely.
- Educate clients as to medical conditions in order to empower them to make informed decisions. Provide guidance in an objective manner.
- Wellness protocols and recommendations made to pet owners will be based on the lifestyle of the pet and the family’s needs, not by set “blanket” protocols.
- Minimize stress to the patient by utilizing behavioral modification techniques and/or chemical restraint, in place of heavy physical restraint.
- Maintain hospitalized pets in a clean, odor free, low stress environment.
- Utilize pain management protocols, when appropriate, to strive for zero patient discomfort.
- Provide a comfortable environment for humane euthanasia and grief counseling for the owner.
- Staff (including reception, technicians, and doctors) shall be sensitive to an owner’s financial constraints. Aim to offer recommendations that will provide medical care for the pet and maintain financial comfort for the owner.
- Treat the environment with respect by maintaining “green” standards in our daily work environment.
- Respect coworkers by taking personal pride in job performance. Respect coworkers’ family-based obligations.
- Provide adequate compensation, vacation time, and health care benefits for employees.
- Maintain client confidentiality.
- Be an advocate for our patients.
